Bartering is one of the most common ways people do business in the Alterverse. Bartering is simply when something is traded for something else. It is common in the Countryside for farmers to trade things like milk, or product for needed spices or tools. Blacksmiths are known to accept grain, flour or spices in return for services. When money is plentiful bartering can help a person get what they need.
