The standard coin in the Alterverse is the Sovereign. All major kingdoms use this coin in different variations, and styles. However all coins weigh the same and are openly used. There are four main denominations. They are as follows.
- Copper Sovereign
- Silver Sovereign
- Gold Sovereign
- Platinum Sovereign
- Copper Shekel
- Silver Shekel
- Gold Shekel
- Platinum is not minted in Maldoria And is not accepted in any of the customs houses or merchant towns.
- Copper Dirham
- Silver Dirham
- Gold Dirham
- Platinum Dirham
Although depending on the Kingdom and many other factors, the exchange rate for each coin can vary. However the "standard accepted' rate is as follows.
Copper = 1 Copper Silver = 5 Copper Gold = 10 Silver or 50 Copper Platinum = 10 Gold 100 Silver to 500 Copper
